Songs that tell a tale will always have a special place in my Soca soul. However, songs that leave me wanting more because they feel incomplete make me feel like, like that strand of oxtail meat stuck in the back of my teeth that I can’t get at until I get home!
That’s what this Soca song does for me… so good that I crave more. It’s one of those tracks that could be timeless and touch hearts across the region. One of those songs that could have eight full verses and no one would notice because the story of the iron—evolving from bamboo to iron, and then to steelpan—is so important. I’m throwing it out there: I hope this version was just a teaser…
